I saw a wee article in the paper today, in somewhere in australia a racehorse was dragged underwater by a bull shark, but the trainer who was presumably riding the horse in the water at the time, managed to pull the horse away from the shark.

Blimey.

here you go, seems bull sharks aren't as massive as the name implies

So, in the absence of reliable weather forecasting, and easter with 4 days off fast approaching, do you think there are any late availability self catering cottages or boating holidays in norfolk to be had?

No.

So we might go instead on a narrowboat in and around rugby or somewhere unsalubrious like birmingham ;)

Although I'd much rather be in the middle of nowhere. In a boat. Preferably on water.

Anyone know anybody who happens to have a nice cottage or boat somewhere nice they would like to lend us? (Our landlords say we are the best tenants they've ever had, we won't trash anything I promise)

Just wondering. Not that fussy where we go geographically, just somewhere midlands ish. Ish.

Just wondering :)

No really, he's a great actor but just...not me :)

I might have to watch troy again tonight though. I really like the wailing woman in the soundtrack, it's very evocative.

I dug loads on my allotment today, put lots of plants in that have been hanging around for weeks waiting for me to get round to it, and got all the ground ready for my potatoes, which I may put in tomorrow, or next week. Maybe.

We hope to go camping next weekend, since we both have the 4 days off. Somewhere in norfolk....if it's warm enough. And probably even if it isn't.

So, I had a chat with my boss on thursday about wages, because I had previously asked him if we were going to have any kind of review, since the minumum wage has gone up. And so we did. And maria and myself both got a rise, and thankyou for all your hard work type of thing, we really appreciate it although business has been so bad last year and this year so far because nobody's buying plants these days, we shouldn't really be giving rises at all, but we're so nice, that we are.

And then the next day I stayed an extra half an hour to finish my watering and to prove that I am wonder-employee of the month. It was bootiful yesterday, all sunny and warm, watering outside was a pleaseure.

And we are the proud new owners of a weight bench press thing, with a barbell and all that man stuff, and things. It took about 4 hours to put it together (adam did it) and I really really will use it, I will, really.

Isn't it amazing how easy it is to spend LOADS of money in Asda? Especially when you haven't done a big shop for ages, and they also have clothes and things in there too....

The Prioress
You scored 18% Cardinal, 61% Monk, 58% Lady, and 35% Knight!

You are a moral person and are also highly intellectual. You like your
solitude but are also kind and helpful to those around you. Guided by a
belief in the goodness of mankind you will likely be christened a saint
after your life is over.
You scored high as both the Lady and the Monk. You can try again to get
a more precise description of either the Monk or the lady, or you can
be happy that you're an individual.

My test tracked 4 variables How you compared to other people your age and gender:
You scored higher than 13% on Cardinal
You scored higher than 88% on Monk
You scored higher than 71% on Lady
You scored higher than 34% on Knight

My friend from work was pregnant and lost her baby this week. Another girl from adams work also lost hers. Is there something in the water?

She was so excited and worried, seems like for good cause. And everyone else at work keeps asking me if I know why she's away for 4 days and I have to say I don't.

And what do I say next week when I see her again? I wonder what she will tell people. She won't want them to know at all.

Unless....she hasn't really lost it and is just following doctors advice and resting. I dunno, seems unlikely. She would have told me I think.

They were both early on, first trimester and everything, I understand it is very common not to get past that stage.

But, it sucks.

If you're not careful some delicate part of your circulatory system is going to explode. Take up yoga or something. You're probably making people nervous.

There is a funfair round the corner, literally, from my house. It smells of burgers and candy floss and all that. It is also full of fluffy haired boarding school kids - with billowing long black coats, and trousers trailing in the puddles.

Yesterday morning on the way to work the silent rides had snow covering them. It was kind of nice.

Went to London today to meet my ma :) It was rididulously cold - it even snowed. But had a really good day.

If I'd taken my camera I could have got some really nice pics of the eye.

We watched 'super size me' last night.

It was quite disturbing, and very interesting indeed. I liked it when he threw up out of the car window :p

I also like daffodils :)

Yay I got new zealand :) Probably becasue I chose meat pie (the kiwi national dish) and surfing :D

I heard a song on the radio today, thought, I like that. He didn't say what it was, of course, so I went on the website and looked it up.

And it was Jem, and a song called Play

Nice website too :)

Reminds me a little of portishead...and someone else, can't place who. Sort of old sounding also. And....I dunno.

Subject:Open University
Time:6:39 pm.
Elfea

I would recommend the Open University to you totally.

You will have gained credits from the stuff you have studied already, so you can do a course or some courses that finish what it is your degree is in. I am sure you can do this.

For myself, credits that I got studying a weekly part time course I did in about 1999 with the Sussex University would have counted toward my OU course, if they had been in a relevant subject, so I don't think it matters how long ago you got the credits.

Ring them up and ask - they were very helpful to me whenever I had to ring for anything. Or you can probably email them too.

Last night we rented 'Identity' with John Cusack (looking a lot like alan shearer), Ray Liotta (looking scarily like john travolta) and other people.

It was good.

It's supposed to snow tomorrow and next week, air coming from siberia. Chilly. We had a couple of flurries last night but today is bright and sunny and very very cold.

I hope this is the last of winter, I like the sun but I am fed up with cold. I need some warmth.

I ended up being in charge at work 4 days out of 5 last week. There are so many people I have to delegate to, and not enough tractors and stuff to go round, it was stressful. Also had loads of orders to get done and loads of my redistribution to do at the same time, which makes it impossible for me to be in there looking after them.

Just constant running about dealing with lorries delivering from europe and lost labels and questions and where does this go and is this right and you've done that wrong and blah blah.

Tomorrow we have yet another person starting, but I don't have to train her which is something.

I didn't go to nottingham yesterday.
